this is my life.

+ [ last.fm ]

Oh my, oh no, how can I be so shameless? And let myself fall so impossibly again. And I spent too many years searching for somebody to be my wrecking ball and rebuild all that's broken. And I spent too many nights without ever thinking: maybe I'm a wrecking ball and I'm breaking all that I'm touching.

This song is one of the best of the last decade.

God damn.

The thing about the Lawrence Arms is that beneath this punk band and Brenden Kelly’s raspy voice are really excellent song writers. Listen to Sundowner, it reminds me of how amazing the lyrics to Lawrence Arms songs really are. Being a cheesy fan-girl right now.

Girrrrrrrl, I own both of the Sundowner albums, and have even gotten to sneak preview Brendan’s new solo album. Packing parties for Red Scare Industries are the best! The BEST!

But yeah, they’re both fantastic on their own, and Neil is good behind the kit no matter who it’s with. I laugh at anyone who says the sum is greater than the parts… Well, okay, it is, but I’ll gladly take any of them on their own in the sum’s absence.

It’s ridiculous how good some bands are.
